Tilt Zero – Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Tilt Zero mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By downloading or using Tilt Zero, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

"We", "us", and "our" refer to Tilt Zero. "You" refers to the person using the Service.

1. Overview of the Service

Tilt Zero is a companion app for gamers. It allows you to:

• Connect your Steam account to read your public game and achievement data;
• View game information and achievement progress in a custom interface;
• Ask questions and receive AI-generated responses about your games;
• Use an internal virtual currency called "Tickets" to access certain features.

Tilt Zero is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Valve, Steam, or any game publisher. All trademarks and game content remain the property of their respective owners.

2. Eligibility

You may use Tilt Zero only if all of the following are true:

• You are at least 16 years old, or older if required by the laws of your country;
• You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract;
• Your use of the Service complies with applicable laws and any platform or store rules.

3. Steam Integration and Accounts

Tilt Zero connects to Steam so it can read your public game and achievement data. When you connect your Steam account:

• You authorize us to access your public Steam profile, owned games, and achievements.
• You agree to comply with Steam’s own terms of service at all times.

You are responsible for the security of your device and for any activity that takes place through your connected Steam account.

4. Tickets and Virtual Currency

Tilt Zero uses an in-app virtual currency called "Tickets". Tickets may be:

• Granted to you for free (for example, on first use or as part of promotions);
• Purchased through in-app purchases;
• Spent on certain actions, such as submitting questions to the AI assistant.

Tickets do not represent real money, have no cash value, and cannot be redeemed, traded, or transferred outside Tilt Zero. We may change how Tickets are priced, awarded, or used at any time.

5. Purchases and Billing

Ticket purchases and other paid features are handled by the app store or platform where you downloaded the app (for example, Apple App Store or Google Play).

• Prices are shown in the app and may vary by region and currency.
• All payments, billing issues, and most refunds are managed by the app store.
• You must also follow the payment terms of the app store you use.

6. AI Assistant and Content

The Service uses AI models to generate responses to your questions. You understand and agree that:

• AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date;
• Responses are for information and entertainment purposes only;
• You remain responsible for your decisions and actions in games and in real life;
• You may encounter game spoilers when using the assistant.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service in any unlawful way or to violate third-party rights;
• Attempt to modify, reverse engineer, or interfere with the app or its servers;
• Use automation or bots to farm Tickets or overload the Service;
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent Ticket usage or payment systems;
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others.

8. Intellectual Property

The Tilt Zero app, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by Tilt Zero or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the app or its content except as allowed by law.

Game titles, artwork, and other third-party content remain the property of their respective owners. Tilt Zero does not claim ownership of any such content.

9. Privacy and Data

We take a very minimal approach to data collection. In connection with Tilt Zero we:

• Only store your SteamID (Steam account identifier) on our servers.

We use your SteamID to:

• Associate your Ticket balance and in-app activity with your Steam account;
• Fetch and refresh your game and achievement information from Steam.

We do not intentionally store other personal data such as your name, email address, or payment details. Purchases are handled by the app store, and any payment data is processed by that store, not by us.

Logs and technical data may be processed temporarily to operate and secure the Service, but we limit this wherever possible and do not build profiles about you beyond what is necessary to run Tilt Zero.

10. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may modify or discontinue parts of Tilt Zero at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and may provide additional notice in the app where reasonable.

If you continue to use the Service after the Terms have changed, you agree to the updated Terms.

11. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or that AI responses will always be correct or suitable for your purposes.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tilt Zero and its officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability will be limited to the amount you paid for Tickets or other paid features in the 12 months before the claim, or a smaller amount if required by law.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Tilt Zero if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms or used the Service in a way that could harm us, other users, or third parties.

You may stop using Tilt Zero at any time by uninstalling the app. Some basic information such as your SteamID and purchase records may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (for example, accounting).

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any disputes related to the Service will be handled by the courts of United Kingdom, unless another forum is required by applicable law.
